Leading Edge Magazine has offered to buy my short story, “Meriel’s Brownie”. This is the same story I recently decided was too long to stand a chance at getting published. I’m happy to admit I was wrong about that. I’ll post details on when and where you can find “Meriel’s Brownie” in print as soon as I can.
Oh, and yay! May’s been a great month so far.
I’m excited to announce that I’m now writing for Vancouver is Awesome. In addition to a weekly roundup of kid-friendly events and activities, I’ll be writing features about great things to do in Vancouver with your kids. My first post went live today, have a look.
This is pretty much an ideal gig for me because 1) I love Vancouver, and 2) I love hanging out with my kid.
Also, if you live in Vancouver and you’re NOT reading Vancouver is Awesome, go there now! It’s one of my new most favourite things.
One of my short stories is now featured over at Toad’s Corner. “The Abduction” won first place in the Victoria Writers’ Society fiction contest a few years ago and was originally published in Island Writer Magazine. Check it out here.
